Digital biomarkers, AI and digital phenotyping for Parkinson’s disease research
AI-PROGNOSIS was represented at DSAI 2026, the 12th International Conference on Software Development and Technologies for Enhancing Accessibility and Fighting Info-exclusion, held from 23 to 25 June 2026 in Alexandroupolis, Greece.
The project contributed to sessions and discussions focused on digital biomarkers, multimodal digital phenotyping, artificial intelligence and health monitoring.
Prof. Leontios Hadjileontiadis from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), coordinator of AI-PROGNOSIS, moderated the Opening Panel titled “Translational Research in Rehabilitation, Digital Inclusiveness and Education in the Era of AI”. He also presented the paper “Multimodal Digital Phenotyping in Psoriatic Arthritis, Parkinson’s Disease, and Breast Cancer: Tri-project Insights from iPROLEPSIS, AI-PROGNOSIS, and REBECCA”. The paper presented cross-project insights from iPROLEPSIS, AI-PROGNOSIS and REBECCA, highlighting how multimodal digital phenotyping can support the monitoring and understanding of different health conditions, including Parkinson’s disease.
In addition, Prof. Hadjileontiadis, Vasilis Charisis and Stelios Hadjidimitriou from AUTH co-chaired the Special Track “Digital Biomarkers’ Potentialities: From Digital Phenotyping to Systemic Thinking in Health and Education”.
Stelios Hadjidimitriou from AUTH chaired the session “Artificial Intelligence and Learning Support”.
The project’s participation in DSAI 2026 highlighted the role of AI-PROGNOSIS in advancing AI-supported digital biomarker and digital phenotyping approaches for Parkinson’s disease research and health monitoring.
