AI-PROGNOSIS highlighted during an international educational course on technology and artificial intelligence in clinical practice
On 12 December, AI-PROGNOSIS was presented during the MDS course “Advances in Technology and Artificial Intelligence Applications in Movement Disorders”, delivered as a live-streamed international educational event.
During her lecture “Wearables and Video Analysis for Parkinson’s Disease and other Movement Disorders”, Dr Margherita Fabbri (CHU de Toulouse) presented the AI-PROGNOSIS project and highlighted how wearable sensors and video-based analysis can support the digital assessment and monitoring of Parkinson’s disease. The presentation showcased the role of artificial intelligence in extracting clinically meaningful information from real-world patient data and its potential to support patient-centred care.
The session reached a broad international audience, with 60 participants attending on site and 115 participants connected online. Attendees included neurologists, clinical fellows, researchers, and industry representatives, reflecting the course’s focus on the practical application of AI and new technologies in clinical practice, research, and education.
Participation in this course reflects AI-PROGNOSIS’ ongoing efforts to engage with healthcare professionals and promote the translation of AI-driven tools into real-world Parkinson’s disease care.
