An overview of AI-PROGNOSIS work on digital biomarkers for tracking Parkinson’s disease symptoms and risk factors
AI-PROGNOSIS has published its final report on digital biomarkers for Parkinson’s disease.
The report presents the development of digital biomarkers for tracking Parkinson’s disease symptoms and risk factors, including results from the AI-PROGNOSIS dBM-DEV study.
The work focuses on motor and non-motor symptoms, including rest tremor, slowness of movement, dyskinesias, REM Sleep Behaviour Disorder, daytime somnolence, physical activity, gross motor function, and cognitive function.
The report describes approaches using data from wearables, smartphone interaction, and digital active tests. It also summarises the development and validation activities carried out across several digital biomarker areas.
