11 Jun 2024

Key Highlights from the 3rd AI-PROGNOSIS Plenary Meeting

The 3rd AI-PROGNOSIS plenary meeting was held on 3-4 June 2024 in Toulouse, France. Over the course of two days, consortium members from across Europe came together for highly productive sessions, strategically planning the next steps towards advancing Parkinson’s disease diagnosis and care.

The meeting served as a platform to review progress and achievements across our work packages. We also delved deeper into various workshops with clinicians, researchers, and developers, focusing on key aspects of our project:

  • Exploring the dBM-DEV Study App: Demos were presented, and discussions centered on gathering feedback regarding the user interface and user experience (UI/UX), data collection methods, and technical features of the app.

  • Data Preparation and Harmonisation: We discussed the needs and approaches for data preparation and harmonisation, emphasising the importance of a common data model to ensure consistency and reliability in our research.

  • Advancing Study Designs: Discussions were held on the design and protocol preparation for the AI-PRA (Artificial Intelligence-based Parkinson’s Risk Assessment) and AI-PMP (AI-based Progression and Medication Response Prediction) studies.

The collaborative efforts and insightful discussions during the plenary meeting have set a strong foundation for the next phase of our project. We are excited to continue our work towards innovative solutions in Parkinson’s disease diagnosis and care.
